Acceptable Use Policy

1. Prohibited Content
You agree NOT to use Project Designer to upload, create, or share:
- Sexual or Exploitative Content: Any sexualized, abusive, or exploitative material involving minors
- Hate Speech: Content that attacks individuals or groups based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
- Violence & Harm: Threats, instructions for violence, self-harm, or suicide content
- Harassment & Bullying: Targeted campaigns to harass, intimidate, or bully others
- Fraud & Deception: Phishing, impersonation, or fraudulent schemes
- Intellectual Property Violations: Unauthorized copyrighted material, plagiarism, or patent infringement
- Malware & Hacking: Viruses, malware, rootkits, or tools to compromise systems
- Privacy Violations: Sharing others' personal data without consent (doxxing)
2. Prohibited Activities
You agree NOT to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code
- Probe, scan, or test the security of Project Designer systems
- Scrape, crawl, or automate data collection without permission
- Use automated tools to mass-create accounts or bypass restrictions
- Share or sell account access to third parties
- Launch DDoS attacks or flood the service with requests
- Attempt to gain unauthorized administrative access
- Use the service for commercial purposes without a School plan
3. School Responsibilities
Schools (administrators of School plans) must:
- Enforce this policy with all users (students, teachers, staff)
- Monitor for prohibited content and report violations
- Remove or restrict users who violate this policy
- Ensure student safety and age-appropriate usage
- Implement safeguarding protocols in accordance with local laws
4. Consequences of Violations
Violations may result in:
- Warning: First violation (minor infraction)
- Content Removal: Prohibited content deleted immediately
- Account Suspension: Temporary loss of access
- Account Termination: Permanent removal from the platform
- Legal Action: Criminal prosecution for illegal activity
- Reporting to Authorities: For child safety concerns or serious crimes
5. Reporting Violations
To report a violation, please:
- Contact your school administrator (for students)
- Email abuse@projectdesigner.app with details
- Include a description of the violation and any relevant evidence
We triage reports promptly, prioritising credible risks to children, personal data, account security or service availability.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of curriculum and content you create. By using Project Designer, you grant us a license to:
- Store and display your content within your school
- Analyze and improve the service (anonymized)
- Create backups for security purposes
We do NOT sell your curriculum data or use it for commercial purposes.
7. Third-Party Content
If you link to or reference external resources, you are responsible for ensuring they comply with this policy. We are not liable for third-party content.
8. Privacy & Anonymity
Do not assume privacy on the service. School administrators can view all activity. Do not share sensitive information (passwords, personal data) in submissions or messages.
9. Updates to Policy
We may update this policy at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
