Our Story
Project Designer started as a side project by an IB Design Technology teacher tired of managing curriculum coverage in colour-coded spreadsheets. After years of adapting generic planning tools to fit the unique demands of the IB Design framework, we decided to build something purpose-made.
Today, Project Designer supports both the IB DP Design Technology (First Assessment 2027) and the IB MYP Design programmes, with deep understanding of strand-based coverage, ATL skills, assessment criteria, and the inquiry cycle that defines great IB Design teaching.
We are a small, independent team with a deep respect for the complexity and creativity of IB Design. Every feature we build is informed by real teachers in real classrooms around the world — from international schools in Singapore and London to IB programmes across Latin America and the Middle East.
Our goal is simple: give every IB Design teacher the planning infrastructure they deserve — powerful enough for a full 2-year DP programme, flexible enough for the 5-year MYP, and easy enough to use on a Monday morning before first period.
